Roy was admitted as a lawyer in 1978, and then worked in a number of areas particularly Wills, other testamentary documents, deceased estates.
Roy was Associate to Mr Justice Wells of the SA Supreme Court in 1977/1978. He has appeared in the Supreme, District, Magistrates and Youth Courts. He is admitted to the High Court of Australia.
After 20 years in successful practice Roy took a sabbatical to pursue further university study and a period in the Australian Regular Army before returning to the law.
Roy is a graduate of the Asia Pacific Military Law Centre and the UN Institute for Training and Research.
Roy was admitted as a Notary Public in 1986. He now practices almost exclusively as a Notary, doing a substantial amount of international notary work primarily for Italy & France (speaking and reading both languages) but for other countries as well. He is currently the President of the Notaries’ Society of SA.
He now practices on his own account at Hasda Legal in Adelaide. Roy is representing the Notaries’ Society of South Australia Inc.
